Sanoma is a multi-channel media house in Finland. Sanoma reaches almost all Finns online or via newspapers and magazines, television, radio or mobile communications. In 2021, Sanoma employed approximately 2,070 people and had a turnover of €615 million. Iro Research and Sanoma have implemented projects related to consumer understanding and the measurement of the impact of advertising since 1992.
Neste is the world’s leading producer of renewable aviation fuel and renewable diesel, along with renewable raw material solutions for the polymer and chemical industries. In 2021, Neste’s turnover was EUR 15.1 billion, and it employed nearly 4,900 people. Iro Research produces customer insights for Neste in both B2B and B2C target groups with follow-up studies. We have been cooperating successfully since 2014.
Vaasan Oy is a Finnish bakery company operating as part of Lantmännen Unibake. The company has four bakeries in Finland in addition to operations in the Baltic countries. The total number of its employees is approximately 1,400, 500 of whom work in Finland. Turnover in 2021 was €135 million. Iro Research and Vaasan jointly carry out several projects related to consumer understanding and product testing every year. The cooperation, which started in 2017, has been continuously developed, providing Vaasan with services tailored to its needs.
HKScan is a versatile food company that makes locally produced food sustainably with over a hundred years of experience. HKScan’s home markets include Finland, Sweden, Denmark and the Baltic countries. In 2021, the company’s turnover was EUR 1.8 billion, and it employed approximately 7,000 professionals. Iro Research has collaborated with HKScan on research related to products, concepts and packaging. HKScan has used this research data in a variety of ways to support product development, sales and marketing.
Established in 1981, Svea Bank is a large Nordic bank that has operated in Finland for 20 years. Today, Svea employs more than 200 people in Finland, offering companies a wide range of financial and payment services, as well as administration and debt collection solutions. In addition, Svea offers consumers a range of services, including loans, mortgages, deposit accounts and hire purchase services. Iro Research has been Svea’s research partner in Finland for several years, increasing Svea’s understanding of consumers’ online shopping behaviour and its changes through regular follow-up surveys. In addition, Iro Research has been responsible for the development and implementation of Svea’s brand surveys in addition to providing other research services Svea has needed.
Oikotie, owned by Schibsted, is Finland’s largest online marketplace for jobs and housing. In 2021, the company’s turnover was €26.2 million, and it employed 94 people. For several years, Iro Research has carried out research related to sustainability for Oikotie, the results of which help the company develop as a responsible employer. The studies and their results are also used to support Oikotie’s sales and marketing.
